At the CDO Convention 2009, I taught this apple by Shuzo Fujimoto. I'm pleased to say that it took us less time than expected (only half an hour), and everyone had a nicely folded model in the end. The bigger, orange apple is the one I folded to display which model I'd be teaching, and the smaller, red one shows the paper we used during the session.
Here's another model that you can use as a nice winter / Christmas decoration. I prefer folding this model from opaque paper. Using foil paper gives it an extra sparkle!
By starting with a hexagon you can easily form an outer star. I think I'll teach this version of "Star Puff" in the upcoming instructional video.
Paper: hexagon with a side length of approx. 10cm, Pacon paper
Model: hexagon with a side length of approx. 6.2cm, 1.3cm height
