Google Doodle (Robert J. Lang): Tant

March 14th 2012 marked the 101st anniversary of Akira Yoshizawa's birthday. In his honor, Google launched a worldwide origami doodle, featuring a butterfly designed by Akira Yoshizawa - and a Google doodle designed and folded by Robert J. Lang.

This is a time lapse, sped up by factor 256, showing how I fold the Google doodle designed by Robert J. Lang. Thanks to Robert for this fun design and his permission to make this time lapse available to you.

Ok, second version, now with colors. :)
While taking the photograph I tried to somewhat replicate the way the letters were placed for the doodle. Close enough, close enough. Didn't add any butterflies, though!

Today marks the 101st anniversary of Akira Yoshizawa's birthday. In his honor, Google launched a worldwide origami doodle, featuring a butterfly designed by Akira Yoshizawa - and a Google doodle designed and folded by Robert J. Lang.

Seeing that the crease patterns were posted for this, I simply had to give it a go. This really is just a test fold, I'll have to start looking for suitably colored paper now. :)
