Paper: 48cm square of double tissue, glued together with MC
Finished model: wingspan 22cm, body length 12.5cm

I recently made double tissue for the first time, and this is the first model I folded from that paper. Rudolf (http://www.faltkunst.de) had also challenged me: who would fold this eagle first? One week later, and I'm done. Rudolf, what's your status on the eagle?

It's my first fold of the eagle, and it's not as tidy as I'd like, but I'm happy that I managed to complete it.

Review of the paper used:

Some time ago I started this tessellation, and didn't have time to finish it. I'd only done the grid and the first rabbit-ear triangle sink fold. I had a hard time figuring out how to do that one. Today I decided to complete it, and thankfully I immediately got how to do the rabbit-ear triangle sink fold, and after some fiddling this is the result. The pictures shows the model from both sides. Given the name, I'd say the right one is the front view, and also the side I think I prefer. But with tessellations you can always decide which side you like best.

Five Intersecting Tetrahedra (Tom Hull)

Designer:

I recently moved, and my previous Five Intersecting Tetrahedra (FIT) wasn't treated as well as it could have been. After that it lived on the window sill - stupid idea! Shortly after it rained quite hard, and the window sill - including my FIT - was soaked.
