Pegasus (Satoshi Kamiya): Folded from Tracing Paper

I had a look at Satoshi Kamiya's book today, and found a half-finished pegasus in it. When I started folding the model, I think I wanted to check what it's like to fold with tracing paper. It seems to be well suited for origami in that it takes creases very well, and doesn't rip easily. Just don't try to wet-fold with it.

Paper: tracing paper, unknown size (~27.5cm)
Model size: height 5cm, length 10cm, wingspan 10cm
Completed: 20 October 2008

Wow, the pegasus is really beautiful, i really want to try it.

After the Phoenix...

I will try the pegasus. I have to admit, it is pretty cool!
The only problem with Satoshi's models, is that the paper required is usually BIG!

Where can I find a 30in^2 piece of paper?
I talked to Hitoshi, and he adviced me to use paper between 30-60....

You can use fairly small

You can use fairly "small" paper for the pegasus. I started with an approx. 11in square for this one.

Not to brag, but I can fold it from a 6 inch square.

My Paper Size

I used an approx. 21cm square piece. It turned out really well!
