After having folded this model from transparent paper, I decided this model probably worked better with opaque paper. So here's my fold from elephant hide. I think the picture still doesn't quite show the stars off as nicely as I'd like, and it's not as apparent that in the back you have honeycomb-like dents. But I can say that it is more stunning when you hold it in your hands and look at it.

Madarko posted a picture of his dragon, and I commented that I loved the character it had. I lovingly called it a flying squirrel dinosaur. Madarko then made diagrams for his dragon, which are now available in my diagrams section.

Paper: 15cm of plain white paper
Model: 7.5cm long, 5.5cm high

Two days ago I folded my first attempt with pearlescent paper, and wasn't happy with my paper choice. So today I folded it again, using elephant hide. the picture shows the model slightly back-lit, and I'm much happier with the result. It's hard to fold everything 100% accurately, so I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
